Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Journal Solutions!

Four questions with Alpha B. Journal, founder of Journal Solutions.

Why did you start your business?

I started this business to help other businesses save on costs they receive from credit card servicing fees by allowing their customers the option to pay in cash.

What is your best-selling product/service?

We are an ATM business where we provide ATMs to businesses free of charge. We maintain the machine, service them, and load them with cash.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

A few businesses in the Western CT area utilize our machines. Some of the locations include spas, nail salons, tire shops, and dispensaries.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

We've been serving the Ridgefield, Bethel, and Danbury areas for the past few years. We're always looking to expand and help businesses in whatever way we can.
