Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Simply Staged!

Three questions with Regina Leahy, founder of Simply Staged.

Why did you start your business?

In the early 2000s, I got my first real taste marketing properties when my husband and I bought, renovated, staged, and sold properties around Fairfield County. During that time, I learned how to design houses that buyers connected with and I learned how to source furnishings and accessories to draw buyers’ interest in each property. My goal was simple – draw attention to the positives of a property—the light, the space, the flow, the lifestyle.

Years later, after having my three children, I decided to launch my home staging dream company, Simply Staged, and to bring simplified, fresh, and accessible home staging & styling to my clients.

What is your bestselling product/service?

Our best-selling service is our occupied staging package. We work with realtors and homeowners to prepare homes for the market, often making small changes or edits to help a home sell more quickly or at a better price point. It is such a satisfying service, as we can make huge impacts in a relatively short amount of time and we get to work directly with clients—which we love.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We have used Little Birdie cookies to make unique and delicious cookies to thank our clients. We also love to pop into Rings End for color samples to share with our clients. Of course, we love to work closely with local realtors as they market homes for sale.

Regina would love to nominate Little Birdie Direct to be featured next!
