Danbury Legislators Achieve 100% Voting Records

HARTFORD- State Reps. Will Duff (R-2), Michael Ferguson (R-138) and State Rep. Stephen Harding (R-107) all achieved a 100% voting records after the just-completed regular and special sessions in the General Assembly.

There were a total of 417 votes cast in the House of Representatives during the legislative regular and special sessions which did not end until November 15, 2017.

Reps. Ferguson and Harding were in attendance for all 417 votes while Rep. Duff made 416 of those votes. Duff’s one lone missed vote was on a failed amendment on a bill which he later recorded a vote on the final bill.

Both Ferguson and Duff are serving their every year in the General Assembly.

“I am proud of my near-perfect attendance, and I feel it’s important that all my constituents know I was there for every single vote,” said Rep. Will Duff. “People have a right to know how I voted and the right to expect that I will make every effort to be there.”

“Like me, many legislators have other jobs and responsibilities outside of the State Capitol,” said Rep. Michael Ferguson. “However, I believe it is my duty to make sure I am present in order to truly represent the interests of the people of the 138th district.  My ultimate responsibility is for my constituents to have their voices heard on every significant question that comes before the full House." 

“Representing the 107th District in Hartford and doing all that I can do for this community is the most critical aspect of my job as a state representative. It is a true honor to cast each and every single vote on behalf of my fellow neighbors,” Rep. Harding said.

The next regular session of the legislature will convene in February of 2018.
