DOT Public Forum Set for Danbury

Danbury, and all of Connecticut has serious issues with transportation. Our highways and bridges need repairs or upgrades; we need to add bus service; and more Metro-North rail cars that are reliable and capable of meeting commuter demands.

On Monday, March 5th, the Connecticut Department of Transportation will hold an informational forum and allow for public comment. I urge you to make your voice heard at this forum.

Danbury is a diverse and growing city that relies on its transportation infrastructure. Reducing capacity and raising fares will have a negative impact on families, household income, business opportunities and more.

Let the DOT know where you stand and offer your ideas for expanding mass transit -- not cutting back and making it more costly to get to work and school.
