Danbury residents learn about November 6th elections with help from the League of Women Voters

On Saturday, October 27th from 11:00 am to noon at the Danbury Library, the League of Women Voters of Northern Fairfield County and the Danbury Library will offer a program "Be Ready! Know what to expect when you go to the polls to vote on November 6th".  Whether it's someone's first time voting or someone wanting to learn more about the voting process or the candidate names and the jobs they will be doing if elected, members of the local League will be on hand to talk about the process and see the ballot being used on Nov. 6th.

Following the program, for those who are not yet registered to vote, League members will register those who are U.S. citizens and at least 18 years of age.  The last day to register to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 6th election is Tuesday, October 30th.

The League of Women Voters of CT is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government.  The League of Women Voters of Northern Fairfield County serves the towns of Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, and Sherman.

The program is free of charge.  Registration for the program is requested online at danburylibrary.org, click on "View Calendar" or call 203.797.4505, ext. 7730.
