Danbury Residents Can Vote Absentee or at Polls in August 11 Primary, Ballot Boxes in Danbury

All eligible Connecticut residents to vote absentee in the August 11 Primary Elections.

Last week the Secretary of State mailed absentee ballot applications to all registered Democratic and Republican voters. However, the polls will be open for in-person voting for the August 11 primary, should you decide to cast your ballot in person.

The hours of voting at said primary and the location of the polls will be as follows:

Hours of Voting: 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Pembroke School Gym, 34 Pembroke Road (Route 37) Ward 2
Stadley Rough School Gym, 25 Karen Road Ward 3
Shelter Rock School Gym, 2 Crows Nest Lane Ward 4
Danbury War Memorial, 1 Memorial Drive Ward 5
Park Avenue School Gym, 82 Park Ave Ward 6
Westside Middle School Academy Gym, 1 School Ridge Road Ward 7

**Absentee ballots will be counted at the following central location:
Second Floor Conference Room, City Hall, 155 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810.

According to the Mayor, at the request of the Secretary of State, two of these ballot boxes (one at City Hall and one at King Street Firehouse) have been installed for the August 11th primary and the November elections. The Mayor said today at Live at 5 that the ballot boxes are under 24 hour surveillance.
