Bridge the Gap, Fully Fund Danbury Schools, Residents and City Leaders Rally

On their Facebook page, NEA-Danbury, a labor organization that represents the dedicated public school teachers in Danbury and ensures contractual rights, fair wages, and benefits for teachers, is offering thanks to the community for supporting yesterday's Bridge the Gap rally.

"Thank you to all who came out to support our Bridge the Gap rally to fully fund our school budget. Special thanks to the elected city leaders who came to listen. Thank you for valuing our schools and our students," NEA-Danbury said.

Holding handmade signs that read "Unifying to save our schools", "We support strong public schools", and "Bridge the Gap", concerned residents, along with councilman Farley Santos, gathered at City Hall last night wearing "Red for Ed" and advocating for Danbury students.
