Today, Mayor Dean Esposito issued the following statement on the special legislation passage for the Danbury Career Academy.
I want to express my appreciation for the passage of the special legislation for the Danbury Career Academy to receive a reimbursement rate of eighty percent for the new construction project including site acquisition, eligible costs and the associated Board of Education central facility project.
In particular, I want to thank State Representative David Arconti for his passion and determination to champion this legislation, and provide the critical reimbursement rate for our students and taxpayers. Representative Arconti has worked with my administration since day one in a bi-partisan fashion to truly represent the City of Danbury and all of our residents. Without Representative Arconti’s leadership, we could not have achieved this remarkable opportunity for the Danbury Public Schools system, and the City of Danbury.
