Danbury DTC Reports Roberto Alves Unanimously Nominated to be Democratic Candidate for Mayor

Last evening, at the 2023 Municipal Nomination Meeting (of the Danbury Democratic Town Committee), Roberto Alves was enthusiastically and unanimously nominated to be the Democratic Candidate for Mayor. In addition, the party has fielded a full slate of candidates for all available ballot positions in November. “The slate is representative of the fabric of our great City and Roberto will lead us to victory in November,” proclaimed Larry Riefberg, Town Chairman.

In addition to Roberto Alves, Michael Flanagan was nominated for City Treasurer and Laurie Esposito was nominated for Town Clerk as well as candidates for City Council, Board of Education, Zoning Commission and Constables. The complete list is attached.

After the riveting speech by Roberto Alves, the crowd of over 115 persons left the City Hall Council Chambers motivated and eager to achieve a Democratic victory in November. “Honesty and integrity are a focal point of our vision for Danbury. The current Republican fiscal mismanagement is unacceptable and an affront to all voters”, concluded Riefberg.
