Today, Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) announced that Interim President Paul Beran will step back into an advisory role before the beginning of the fall semester, and Dr. Manohar Singh will take over as Interim President.
“I want to thank Dr. Beran for his leadership over the last year and his work to make WCSU a destination for students seeking an innovative, inclusive college education that will leave them career ready upon graduation,” said Mayor Dean Esposito.
“I am excited to welcome Dr. Manohar Singh to Danbury. Dr. Singh is part of the first generation in his family to go to college, and I know many of Danbury’s students will be personally inspired by his academic journey. I am confident that the future of WCSU is bright under his leadership,” remarked Mayor Esposito.
Dr. Singh will begin his role on August 25.
