Today, Thursday, July 12, State Police responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on 1-84 that resulted in a fatality.
The accident took place at approximately 7:01am in the area of Interstate 84 Eastbound, between exits 11-13, police say.
According to the police report, upon the arrival of troopers, it was determined that the operator of a motorcycle, William Jasmin of Danbury, had sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The highway was shut down during the course of the investigation but has since been reopened.
