It is Dispatcher Appreciation Week and the Danbury Police Department salutes the unseen heroes of public safety. They are often the first people you speak with when you are faced with an emergency such as crime, a crash, a fire, or a medical episode. They are the gold lines between the blue and the red!
They coordinate the emergency responders who go to you during your time of need. They stay calm during stressful situations in order to keep you calm. You rarely see them, but they are there…ready to help you…during what may be the worst time of your life.
