Danbury Letter: 14 Local Nonprofits Participate in Fairfield County's Giving Day

Dear Editor,

As a resident of Fairfield County for 40 years, it is important to me that our nonprofits be able to continue to serve our community. I have volunteered with several nonprofits throughout the years that have focused on providing food and shelter for those less fortunate in our communities.

By participating in Giving Day on February 27th, you can be providing support to over 400 nonprofits that help individuals in need in our county.

Bank of America is committed to supporting economic mobility, serving our communities, and working to address societal differences. That’s why we are a lead sponsor of the 2020 Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Giving Day. Please join us in giving back this year!

14 nonprofit organizations in Danbury are participation this year: Ann's Place, Apex Community Care, Connecticut Institute For Communities Inc., Danbury Music Centre, Danbury PAL, Families Network of Western CT, Inc., Family & Children's Aid, Inc., Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, Musicals at Richter, Regional Hospice, United Way of Western Connecticut, WestConn Athletics & Recreation, Western Connecticut Association for Human Rights-WeCAHR, Women's Center of Greater Danbury Working in Norwalk, I am asking for everyone to consider donating on February 27th.

Each year we hope to exceed our donations from the previous year, and on February 27th we can make that happen. With just a few clicks, you can easily donate from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on fcgives.org.

Please tell your neighbors, friends, family about this exciting annual event and share how they can help out, too! We are looking forward to another successful and impactful Giving Day.
