Danbury's Microsoft Store offers free computer skills to creative entrepreneurs and professionals beginninig February 17

A free in-depth workshop series to help computer users scale their productivity skills for 2020 will kick off on Thursday, Feb 27, at the Microsoft Store in the Danbury Fair mall, hosted by the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut.

The CreativeNotebook Workshop Series 2020 will offer a detailed and hands-on education for Windows 10, Office 365, Outlook, Excel and OneNote, along with a session on tips to improve and optimize a LinkedIn profile.

The kickoff, which will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Microsoft Store, will include networking along with information about the workshops and how the Microsoft Surface Family can become your tool for success.

Topics in the CreativeNotebook series will include:

  •          March 5, Be More Productive: Connect, create and integrate with Windows 10 and Office 365
  •          March 12, Master Your Communications: Outlook in Office 365
  •          March 19, Do More with Excel
  •          March 26, Do More with OneNote
  •          April 2, Rock Your LinkedIn Profile

The workshops will be held at the Microsoft Store from 10 a.m. to noon. Those who attend any four of the events (workshops and/or the kick-off) will be entered to win a pair of Surface Headphones.

The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut designed the series with Microsoft to serve creative entrepreneurs, artists or arts administrators, but all business professionals — for-profits and nonprofits — will benefit.
