CityCenter Danbury's 31st Annual Halloween on the Green 2023 is Huge Success!

CityCenter Danbury is pleased to announce the success of the 31st Annual “Halloween on the Green 2023”.  On Saturday, October 28th, over 1,000 costumed children and their family members gathered on CityCenter Green (at 1 Ives Street) to trick and treat, prance and dance, delight and scare.

Halloween on the Green 2023 included kids dance performance from Movement Dance Studio (24 Rowan St.), and a special appearance from Thumper, the rabbit mascot from the Danbury Hat Tricks.  With the enthusiastic and generous support from local businesses, organizations and individuals, countless hours were spent preparing 700 candy bags.

From City Center’s Executive Director Lazaro Chavez:  “It was spook-tacular and ghoul-times were had by all.  I felt a tremendous sense of gratitude in seeing everyone on the Green, full of smiles and such positive energy!  Not only did we have the best day ever full of sunshine, but what joy it is to see our community come together to enjoy this spirited event is what this gem of a city is all about.  It was great to see Downtown Danbury come out to haunt and delight!!!”

CityCenter Danbury will host its next live event “Light the Lights – Winter Festival” on the Green, Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 1:00 – 7:00 PM, where the entire season of light, and all holidays will be celebrated.  Mark your calendars!
