Danbury Offers FREE CERT Training

The Danbury Department of Health and Human Services, Danbury Police Department, Danbury Fire Department, and Danbury Emergency Medical Services will be hosting a FEMA Certified Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. Volunteers will be trained to prepare for disasters by learning to organize basic disaster response and how to safely respond to hazards.

The first set of classes will take place in Danbury on June 3, 5, 10, 12 from 6:00-9:00 PM and June 8 from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.

The second set of classes will take place in Danbury on September 14 from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM and September 16, 18, 23, and 25 from 6:00 PM- 9:00 PM.

One set of classes must be attended in full, to become a member of the Danbury CERT and help respond to community disasters. For more information on the training and to register go to www.danbury-ct.gov/health or call 203-797-4625.
