Breast Cancer Myths

Have you ever heard or thought, “I don’t have a family history so I can’t get breast cancer” or “I’m too old/young to get breast cancer”?

These are just some of the serious misconceptions about breast cancer. While these statistics certainly sound scary, the good news is that screenings are an excellent way to find cancers early, when they are most treatable.

Remember, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – a great time to focus on your breast health. It’s important to stay informed about the breast cancer myths commonly circulated, including what causes it and who can get it, and raise awareness for the significant impact early screening can have on breast cancer.
