Connecticut COVID-19 Update: 9784 with 632 Danbury Residents Testing Positive

As of today, Thursday, April 09, 2020, a total of 9784 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported among Connecticut residents. One thousand four hundred sixty-four patients are currently hospitalized. There have been 380 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19-associated deaths.

According to the latest data, Danbury currently has 632 COVID-19 cases. Fairfield County currently has 4882 and there have been 178 deaths as a result of the virus.

Among 215 nursing homes in CT, 92 (43%) have had at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. A total of 849 nursing home residents with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 have been identified of whom 241 (28%) were hospitalized and 116 (14%) have died.

The Dr. Katherine A. Kelley State Public Health Laboratory has tested a total of 2986 patients for COVID19; 810 (27%) patients tested positive.
