Danbury's Alpha Metalcraft Group Names New Director of Engineering and Program Management

Alpha Metalcraft Group has named Luigi Cazzaniga its Director of Engineering and Program Management.

In his role, Cazzaniga will be focused on driving growth in AMG’s core engineering competencies as it pursues new opportunities.

Alpha Metalcraft Group, based in Danbury, Conn., is a group of manufacturing businesses that provide mission-critical components for aerospace, defense and medical markets. Its business units include GAR Electroforming, Connecticut Coining and Gasser.

Cazzaniga previously worked as the General Manager of Practical Automation for the ALINABAL Group. The company is a premier manufacturer of kiosk printer solutions. He also managed the DACO business, providing laser shutter solutions for medical, scientific and security markets, as well as desiccator devices for the heads up display (HUD) system for military aircraft.

 A Connecticut resident, Cazzaniga also worked with Trident Industrial Inkjet and started his career as a chemical engineer with the Union Carbide Corporation and later through acquisition with The Dow Chemical Company.

Cazzaniga holds a B.S. from Columbia University in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
