In this episode of "This Week in the City", Mayor Dean Esposito features the Afghanistan-Iraq Veterans War Memorial Fund, a non-profit organization established to create a memorial to honor all Connecticut residents who have served in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
The site was selected in coordination with the City of Danbury and the Danbury Veterans Council in front of the War Memorial Building located in Rogers Park, Danbury, Connecticut.
The Mayor is asking all Danburians to help make this memorial a reality by contributing to the Fund, as well as attending the 1st Annual Heroes Gala on Saturday April 22nd from 6:00pm to 11:00pm at The Waterview at 215 Roosevelt Drive Monroe, CT.
