Danbury Library and Mayor Esposito Invite YOU to read this summer!

We're reading All Together Now at Danbury Library

This summer, Mayor Esposito invites Danbury residents of all ages to make the pledge to read, learn, and discover at Danbury Library during the All Together Now summer reading program. Stop by the library anytime over the summer to make the pledge and add your community building to the wall map. As you read and attend library programs, you’ll earn tickets to enter into the grand prize drawings.

All ages are invited to join in the fun during the annual Summer Reading Kick Off Party at the library on Saturday, June 17 from 10am to 2pm. Enjoy live music played by John Fazio, Jr., play games, make arts and crafts, and enter to win door prizes! All attendees will receive their All
Together Now tote bag to fill with books borrowed from the library’s collection. Tote bags will be distributed while supplies last.
While there, be sure to sign up for a library card or renew a card you haven’t used in a while. All that is needed is a photo ID with proof of Danbury residence.

Everyone who makes the pledge to read and learn over the summer will be invited to the End of Summer Celebration held at Rogers Park Playground on Friday, August 18 at 2pm, hosted by the Mayor and Danbury Library. Dance, play, and meet and greet some of your favorite
characters! Enjoy some refreshing popsicles donated by ShopRite of Danbury. At the end of the celebration we will announce the winners of the grand prizes. Rain location will be inside the library.

As an essential city asset, the Danbury Library is committed to being a welcoming destination, responsive to the needs of our city’s diverse community, and a source of inspiration through words and ideas.
