Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Twinkle Little Star Learning Center!

Three questions with Mery Paulichi, owner of Twinkle Little Star Learning Center.

Why did you start your business?

I used to have a home daycare and was only allowed to have six children. My waiting list grew, and I had a list of thirty-two children waiting for a spot. I decided to investigate my options and finally decided to get a bigger place so I could welcome those families who were looking for quality care for their children.

Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”

I wish I could be the biggest encouragement and influence in every child’s ability to reach the highest education possible.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you
name them?

Some of the businesses that I use are W.B Mason, Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowes, and Costco. These are just to name a few. Amazon is one of the most important online businesses that we use to buy toys, books, cleaning supplies and many other things for the school and for the classrooms.

Twinkle Little Star Learning Center is located at 190 White Street in Danbury. Visit them online here.
