This Week in the City: Progress Update on Danbury Career Academy

In this episode of This Week in the City, Danbury Mayor Dean Esposito provides a progress update on the Danbury Career Academy with Danbury Superintendent Kevin Walston.

With the hard work and dedication of our city staff, led by Public Works Director/City Engineer Antonio Iadarola P.E., we began procurement of Phase 1 and are full steam ahead to build the Danbury Career Academy, a transformational education facility for our students.

Due to the extensive due diligence process that had to be undertaken for the procurement of the former Cartus building, and the beneficial remediation of the findings of that due diligence process, the Danbury Career Academy will open for the Fall of 2025 school year.

Together, we are working in collaboration to build out a career-oriented curriculum to prepare Danbury's students for the real world.
