Learn about the Healing Hearts Center at Regional Hospice & how you can help

Did you know that you can help Regional Hospice to prepare for the many children that will enter their doors by visiting their "Wish List" registry?

Regional Hospice is home to the Healing Hearts Center for families in the community coping with the death of a loved one. Healing Hearts is the only program of its kind to service Western Connecticut and nearby New York and is solely funded by donations.

Bereavement groups can be important tools in helping young children grieve. Activities are based on developmental understanding and provide meaningful opportunities for healing. A group for the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) takes place while children meet in their age-appropriate groups.

• “Littles” Group for children ages 4-8

• “Middles” Group for children ages 9-12

• “Teens” Group for those who are 13 to 18 years old.

• “When a Grandparent Dies” Support Group – This short term group runs periodically

• Young Adult Grief Support Group — This short term group runs periodically
