...will discover a PARK laid out in metered parking spots, an expression of the urban landscape re-thought in downtown Danbury. It's an international phenomenon called PARK(ing) Day, and downtown Danbury will join hundreds of cities in dozens of countries, on every permanently-inhabited continent on earth, to celebrate! WOW! There's something going on Downtown!
Friday, September 18th, daylight hours

Since its inception in 2005 in San Francisco (of course!), PARK(ing) Day has blossomed into a global event that encourages social exchange and artistic expression. It's Urban PlaceMaking at it's best, and with it Danbury celebrates its diversity by joining thousands of people around the globe who will create hundreds of PARK installations to the delight and surprise of those who live, work, learn and play in downtowns both big and small! The event continues to expand virally, over the Internet and by word of mouth.
