Shelter Rock Winery Celebrates 3rd Anniversary

The Harvest Season is now upon us! Members and newcomers gathered together last Saturday evening to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of Shelter Rock Winery along with Buttheads Tobacco Emporium of Danbury.

The evening celebration began witha little vino sampling and A & S Fine Foods of Norwalk’s famous antipasti followed by an amazing cuisine crafted by Gallucci’s Catering of Danbury and Luigi’s Pizzeria of Yonkers, NY paired with more vino! All accompanied by sounds of Italy from Sergio Marranzino of Telezini who then transformed the evening into a mini dance club. Members danced the night away as Sergio captured essence of the evening with his snapshots that can be viewed on Shelter Rock Winery’s website.

“I am so thankful to be celebrating a third year for Shelter Rock Winery.  This would not be possible if not for our Members and their love of wine!” said Giovanni Petretta, Shelter Rock’s owner and wine master, “We are looking forward to an amazing vintage for 2015”.

Members shared their stories of wine making with new members in anticipation of this year’s vintage. The grapes will be here by the end of the month and groups begin the first stage of wine making, crushing, in early October. 2015/2016 Wine Harvest Season Memberships are still available and range from a single case membership for one person to a barrel membership (24 cases of wine) that can be shared by up to 6 couples, with each member receiving 4 cases.  We are also available to help arrange groups as needed.
