Danbury man arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated following traffic stop

On July 19, 2015, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested a man from Danbury, Connecticut, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, a Class E Felony.
 
Troopers stopped the vehicle the man was operating on Danbury Road for erratic operation.  While interviewing him, police observed clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.  The operator was charged with Aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law for driving while intoxicated with two child passengers under the age of 16.
 
He provided a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .14%.  He was arraigned before the Town of Southeast Court and is schedule to re-appear in court on August 11, 2015.
