First Selectman Susan Chapman says brush fire in New Fairfield is contained and that New Fairfield volunteers are providing water. 

Today at about 10:15 she Tweeted @SusanNFCT "DEEP states that bush fire in #newfairfield contained - NF volunteers providing water - #ctfire #ctfireems"

A brush fire began on Beaver Bog Road on Saturday afternoon in New Fairfield. The fire was still burning yesterday and Chapman told us that firefighters from multiple departments were working on extinguishing it. Chapman said there were no injuries or risk to homes.
