Friday, April 26th, arrest of Harrison Gromley-Pollack, age 22, 15 Hillhurst Street Stamford. Charge: DWI. Darien officers, along with Stamford officers, set up a DWI checkpoint between the hours of 11:30 PM on the 25th and 5:00 AM on the 26th. The checkpoint was conducted in Stamford on Stillwater Avenue in the area of Alden Street. At approximately 12:05 AM, a 2003 Ford Taurus operated by Gromley-Pollack entered the checkpoint. Upon asking him for his driver's license, the officer noted that the operator had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, along with the odor of alcoholic beverage. He failed his field sobriety tests, was placed under arrest and transported to Darien police headquarters for processing. Gromley-Pollack posted a $250.00 bond and has a scheduled court date of May 6th.
Friday, April 26th, domestic violence incident and arrest. Arrested: Corey Davis, DOB 10/1969, 137 Hollow Tree Ridge Road. Charge: Violation of a Protective Order. Through investigation it was determined that Davis had violated a provision of a protective order imposed against him where he is to stay away from the home of the protected person. In this case the protected person is his wife, and it was ascertained that he had entered her property. David posted a $5,000.00 bond and has a scheduled court date of April 29th.
