The new office can provide much needed relief to everyone in our area who is looking to save time on renewing driver’s licenses and other basic DMV services.

Services include driver’s license renewals, ID card renewals, and duplicates of driver’s licenses, ID cards, and learner’s permits.
Delays at the DMV
If you’re feeling frustrated and angry about long waits at the DMV, you’re not alone: the DMV has just released data indicating that customer wait times have tripled over the last year, following the introduction during the summer of a new statewide computer system that is meant to improve service. The DMV shut down its offices throughout the state for a week in August to get the new system up and running.
Disturbingly, the DMV has just reported that during the last week of September, the first full month after the new system became operational, the average wait time jumped to 98 minutes from 37 minutes for the same week in September 2014. For the first half of October, the average wait time was 95 minutes, compared to 31 minutes for the same period in 2014.
I look forward to receiving Commissioner Ayala’s responses, and will keep you informed as details become available.
Meanwhile, I hope that you will be able to save time by using the newly opened AAA Norwalk office for DMV document renewals and duplicates.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to discuss this or any other issue further.
