St. Patrick's Day Parade in Stamford Planned for March 5 beginning at noon.

The parade kicks off at Summer St and North, south on Summer to Main Street, left onto Atlantic St, north on Bedford to Latham Park. Bagpipes, step dancers, school bands, and a special Family Zone near Veterans Park. Grand Marshal is the Hon. Andrew McDonald, CT Supreme Court Justice. Wear some green!

Congratulations to Andrew McDonald, Grand Marshals of the 21st Annual Stamford St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Justice Andrew J. McDonald is a Stamford native of Irish descent. Andrew’s maternal great grandfather hailed from County Wexford and settled in upstate New York in the 1840s, where some of the stone barns he and his brothers constructed still stand today.

His maternal great grandmother immigrated to the U.S. from County Cork.

Tonight, March 4: Grand Marshal's Dinner

Grand Marshal’s dinner is at the Sheraton Stamford and will feature a beer and wine cocktail hour, traditional Irish music by Morrigan’s Wing & Friends, Irish step dancing and a performance by the Greenwich Pipe Band.
