Darien Library Celebrates its 129th Anniversary with 1894 Day Tomorrow!

On Wednesday, May 24th, in honor of the Library’s 129th anniversary, we aim to raise $129,000 in one day!

Please make a donation and stop by the Library courtyard on May 24th to celebrate and enjoy the festivities, including crafts, balloon art, face painting, and an ice cream truck.

This Giving Day has replaced our traditional Spring Gala and serves as a critical source of funding for the Library. Darien Library is a true public-private partnership between the Town of Darien, which pays for salaries and operating expenses, and the Friends of the Library, who generously fund all the books, audiobooks, e-Books, computers, technology, research databases, and the Library’s impressive range of cultural and entertainment programs.

To commemorate our 129th anniversary, each donor will receive exclusive giveaways at the following suggested contribution levels:

  • $12.90: Darien Library car magnet
  • $129: Darien Library tote bag
  • $1,290: Darien Library Turkish towel
  • $12,900: All the above and more!

Your donation is tax-deductible since the Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
