Construction is underway and the first Wegmans in Connecticut is on the horizon!
Wegmans Norwalk will be located on nearly 11 acres of land off Connecticut Avenue, adjacent to route I-95.
"We anticipate opening in 2025, though we haven’t yet identified an exact date," the company told us.
The store will be approximately 92,000 square feet on two stories and will have all of our normal departments, including our vast selection of restaurant food options.
According to Wegmans, "This store is unique from other Wegmans locations in that it will include a two-story parking deck, and solar panels on top of the roof and the parking deck. We are also looking into the possibility of adding Tesla charging stations to the parking area."
"Wegmans stores have a European open-air market look and feel, offering an abundance of choice, the best ingredients, thousands of organic options, restaurant-quality prepared food, and consistent low prices," the company states.
