Darien Community Association presents A Sustainable Fashion Show on September 27 featuring designer fashions from the DCA Thrift Shop
The Darien Community Association, located at 274 Middlesex Road, Darien, CT, will present A Sustainable Fashion Show on Wednesday, September 27th featuring designer fashions that have been curated exclusively from the DCA Thrift Shop. The evening will begin with a wine reception, followed by a runway fashion show, and will conclude with a fabulous shopping event.
The popularity of resale fashion continues to grow over the lack of sustainability within the fashion industry and the concern of its environmental impact. The DCA Thrift Shop has become a hub for premium and contemporary designer goods in the Tri-State area given the quality of its donations. The show will feature local models showcasing outfits styled with items from premium designers including Gucci, Chanel,
Schutz, Valentino, and Prada as well as many contemporary labels like Rag & Bone, Tory Burch, Golden Goose, Jimmy Choo, and Ferragamo. All clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories from the runway, as well as additional goods for women, men, and children, will be available for sale immediately following the show.
A wine reception with lite bites will begin at 6:30pm. The runway show will start promptly at 7:00pm with shopping to follow.
