Four questions with Dana Kelly, founder of Blue Shutter Design Studio.
Why did you start your business?
My inspiration from a childhood cottage on Nantucket always influenced my creative spark!! As you can read on my website as well, I always wanted to get involved in some sort of creative industry and after working for Kelly Interiors (my MIL) for several years, I decided to start my interior design biz! Love working with people, collaborating, and making a home warm and inviting!
What is your best-selling product/service?
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Browne and Co., Mandarin Home, Darien Upholstery, Fairfield County Antique and Design
Have you reimagined your small business?
I would love to incorporate my passion for Nantucket in the future by selling some sort of product on my website! TBD!
