The Community Fund of Darien Kicks Off Annual Fall Appeal: 'Your One Donation Strengthens The Fabric of Our Community'

The Community Fund of Darien announced today its annual Fall Appeal is on its way to a mailbox near you! For more than 73 years, The Community Fund of Darien has been strengthening and connecting our close-knit community to collaboratively bring about change for neighbors by helping with basic needs.

The Community Fund of Darien’s mission is to inspire people, and mobilize resources to strengthen our community. Over the years, The Community Fund has given more than $27 million dollars in grants to carefully vetted local non-profit organizations funding access to food, shelter, physical and mental health care, job training and youth success programs.  

This annual campaign provides an opportunity for the Darien community to unite and have a lasting impact on the lives of our neighbors and the local nonprofits that serve them. Janet King, Executive Director of The Community Fund of Darien said, “Together we can ensure there no loose ends in our community’s safety net and create an environment in which all can thrive.”  

Contributing to The Community Fund of Darien positively affects the lives of 62,500 individuals, and supports 35 vital nonprofit organizations in Darien, Norwalk, and Stamford.
