Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community

Meet Daniella Palazzolo founder of Cucina Daniella in Darien.

Why did you start your business?

Cooking and Italian culture has always been an interest of mine. Growing up in an Italian food-centered household, this is natural to me. So I decided to pursue my passion

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our sandwiches on our schiacciata in-house bread, made daily on the premises is definitely drawing much interest. Also, our house made grab-and-go meals. We do everything in-house.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

Several (and more to come!)

Alev Olive oil company - for herbs and honey, Epicurean Pantry for Black garlic, The Perfect Stich for Olive oil bags, Sankow Beaverbrook farms for cheeses, sausages, Arethusa cheeses, Tastevivo Labrusco vinegar, and Sterling Bake Shop for fresh baked goods.

Cucina Daniella is located at 286 Tokeneke Road, Darien. Visit their website cucinadaniella.com and follow along on social media: Facebook and Instagram @cucinadaniella
