Why Small Businesses Matter: Kumon of Darien

asset

Local business champion: Kumon of Darien!

Meet Kerri O'Brien, Instructor and owner at Kumon of Darien.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business to make a difference in helping students in the community learn, grow, and excel.

What is your best-selling product/service?

The Kumon Method is a worksheet-based program brilliantly designed to help students catch up to grade-level material and/or excel beyond grade level.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

I use local businesses such as Post Corner Pizza to feed my staff during monthly meetings. I also use Browne & Co. and Jade Nails for gift certificates to clients.

Have you reimagined your small business?

I completely redesigned the business to keep it open during the Covid closures. Although Covid is over, I have continued with many of the efficient improvements I was able to implement.

Kumon of Darien is located at 899 Boston Post Road in Darien. Visit Kumon of Darien online here, and make sure to check out their Facebook page as well!
