New Owner at Hamilton Opticians

Hamilton Opticians, 553 Post Road, Darien is now under new ownership. As a Darien institution for over 30 years, Hamilton Opticians has strived to provide local residents with quality frames and lenses and expert advice.

The new owner is Elwood Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong, or Woody as he likes to be called, is a believer in strong customer service. A Pennsylvania native, Woody is a 1985 graduate of the McCarrie Institute of Health Services in Philadelphia where he studied Optical Dispensing. A Connecticut licensed optician since 1986, Woody brings a wealth of experience to the Darien area. Most recently, he worked as an optician for Dr. Leslie Doctor in Westport and Wilton.

Prior to this affiliation, he managed Glance Opticians on High Ridge Road in Stamford. He cordially invites all of his former clients to Hamilton Opticians in Darien where he will offer the same superb service, top quality frames and lenses as well as fair prices. Woody plans to markedly improve eyewear delivery times. Superior customer satisfaction will continue to be his goal.

Hamilton Opticians offers complete optical services including designer frames, lenses, sunglasses, contact lenses and eye examinations provided by Dr. Peter Jamison, Optometrist.

Mr. Armstrong is married and has two Weimaraner dogs.
