Howie Day “Collides” with Alive@Five on August 8

Howie Day may be best known to the casual fan as the guy that performs that song “Collide” that you have most likely heard on multiple television shows and movies but he is also a platinum (and gold) certified artist with a hit record Stop All the World Now and hit tracks like the aforementioned “Collide” and “She Says.”

Day will bring his pop/indie rock sound to Columbus Park in Stamford on August 8 with hit songs from his three studio albums and three EPs.

Each date listed above is a Thursday with opening acts start at 5 p.m., outdoors at Columbus Park.

Concerts are open to all ages but after 7 p.m. you must be at least 21 years old to enter with photo I.D. required and there is no re-entry. There is a $10 fee to attend Alive@Five (a $5 savings from earlier in the season) but children 12 or under are free. All people wishing to attend will have to go through one main entrance on Main Street.

New this year (via Alive@Five): Those aged 25 and under will be required to fill out a CT Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Division Age Statement Form, certifying that you are 21 years of age or older. False statements will be subject to fines according to the laws of the State of Connecticut.

Concerts will take place rain or shine.
