Darien Library Spring Fundraiser: Scenes from the Silver Screen

Darien Library presents their annual Spring fundraiser on Saturday, June 9 at 7:00pm. This year, "Scenes from the Silver Screen" will celebrate cinematic stories that capture the imagination.

Red-carpet attire is suggested, as guests step behind the velvet rope for paparazzi-worthy hors-d'oeuvres, cocktails, and live entertainment while supporting the Library’s resources and programs.

The Gala Committee is currently reaching out to the many generous local businesses and individuals who donate items to the silent and live auctions. Stacey Tié and Karen Knapp, co-chairs this year, are looking forward to creating a red-carpet worthy night at the library. “I’m thrilled to be working on the Gala for a second year!” said Stacey. "We have a fantastic committee and we’re all working hard to make this event the best yet!"

All funds raised from the event will be dedicated to expanding library resources, including purchasing new books, technology, and supporting programs and guest speakers. As Board Development Chair Tammy Sload explains, "The Gala is a great night for the Library, and events such as this to allow the Library to continue to do the amazing things that it does and that we have come to expect."

The Scenes from the Silver Screen Gala is sponsored by David Harvey Fine Jewelers, Laurel Road Bank, New Canaan/Darien Magazine and Two Roads Brewing Company.

Tickets are currently available for purchase at $150. To buy tickets and for more information visit http://www.darienlibrary.org/gala.
