Community Commits More than $1 MILLION to Fairfield County COVID-19 Resiliency Fund

With the generosity of donors, media and the community, in only one week since it was established our community has committed more than $1 MILLION to The Fairfield County COVID-19 Resiliency Fund at Fairfield County’s Community Foundation.

The purpose of the new Fund is to support local nonprofits and help alleviate the social and economic consequences of this global pandemic and to prevent the widening of disparities in education, employment, housing, and health.

During that same time, Fairfield County's Community Foundation has already received funding requests from the nonprofit community in excess of $1.4 million…and we expect that the requests and need will continue to grow. Our first emergency grant funding is being distributed this week.

We also want you to know that any new gifts up to $10,000 to the Resiliency Fund will be matched, dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000, by an anonymous FCCF donor-advised fundholder.
