The Community Fund of Darien to Honor “Unsung Heroes” Virtually for 42nd Annual Volunteer Celebration
Nominations for our community’s outstanding volunteers now being accepted
Since 1979, The Community Fund of Darien (TCF) has been recognizing individuals who have made a difference in and around our community. In April, during National Volunteer Month, TCF will announce Darien’s extraordinary volunteers virtually so that the entire community can safely celebrate these wonderful residents who give tirelessly of their time and talent to benefit us all.
TCF is reaching out to the community for nominations, especially those “unsung heroes” who may not have been previously recognized for their commitment to a cause. Nominees, who must be Darien residents, will be sought for the following categories: Outstanding Emerging Volunteer (18 years and younger), Outstanding Adult Volunteer (19 - 64 years), Outstanding Senior Volunteer (65 years and older), Outstanding Volunteer Duo, Outstanding Volunteer Family, Outstanding Volunteer Team (3 or more individuals committed to the same cause) and Outstanding New Volunteer (1 year of service or less to one organization).
Nominations are due on March 26th via the online submission portal on the TCF website www.communityfunddarien.org. Decisions will be made by mid-April.
Darien is fortunate to have so many caring volunteers who donate their time, expertise, and heart to benefit their neighbors. The Community Fund of Darien is proud to recognize the impact they’ve made and to celebrate the very best of our town!
