Kids In Crisis Spring Gala to be Held April 1

“A Night in Italy” at Burning Tree Country Club will raise critical funds for

Kids In Crisis’ essential programming throughout Fairfield County.

The annual Kids In Crisis gala, the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, will take place Saturday, April 1. Burning Tree Country Club will play host to “Grazie: A Night in Italy” and the evening will be emceed by Greenwich’s own Jodi Applegate. All proceeds raised will help fund the award-winning shelter, counseling and community-based programs provided by Kids In Crisis throughout Fairfield County.

Event co-chairs Kristen Forlini and Karen Tepper-Bauduin, along with the event committee, have an incredible evening planned. Sly the Piano Guy will entertain during cocktails while Paloma Skye will fill the dance floor later in the evening. Greenwich born and raised artist Katie Swatland will create a painting live on-site to auction off, and Sam Bridge Nursery and Greenhouses will provide foliage to add to the Italian ambiance.

“Our annual spring gala provides a significant support which we rely on to serve more than 5,000 children in need every year,” said Shari Shapiro, Executive Director for Kids In Crisis. “Kids In Crisis’ mission and programming has expanded exponentially over the past few years and our work is more important now than ever before. We are excited to bring together our strong community, introduce new supporters, and celebrate the incredible work of Kids In Crisis staff to raise the critical funds for Kids In Crisis programming throughout Fairfield County.”

The success of the annual gala relies entirely on the generosity of individuals and businesses within the community. This year’s sponsors include Morgan Stanley and Fairfield County LOOK.
