Bestselling Author A. J. Finn to be Featured Guest at Darien Library's Novel Tea

Darien Library will present its Third Annual Novel Tea fundraiser, featuring A. J. Finn, bestselling author of "The Woman in the Window." The lunch will be held at Wee Burn Country Club on Wednesday, March 28 from 12 - 2 p.m.

“We are so honored to welcome A. J. Finn,” said Tammy Sload, Development Chair for the Board of Trustees. “It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear from a debut author who has had such instant success, and we’re thrilled that Darien Library is one of his first stops!”

"The Woman in the Window" burst onto the literary scene on Jan. 2 and is now #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List. It’s a twisty, powerful Hitchcockian thriller about an agoraphobic woman who believes she witnessed a crime in a neighboring house. One of the decade’s most anticipated debuts has now been published in 36 languages around the world and is already in development as a major film from Fox.

“The Novel Tea continues to grow,” said Kevin Gasvoda, President of the Darien Library Board of Trustees. “It’s a great way for the community to support the Library while learning from such unique and high-caliber authors each year.”

All funds raised from the Novel Tea will be dedicated to library resources, including technology, purchasing new books, and supporting programs and guest speakers.

Single tickets are currently on sale for $150. Benefactor and Sponsor Table guests are invited to a private meet-and-green reception with A.J. Finn, and will receive a signed copy of "The Woman in the Window." Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Barrett Bookstore.

A. J. Finn has written for numerous publications, including the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, and the Times Literary Supplement. Finn’s debut novel, "The Woman in the Window," has been sold in 38 territories worldwide and is in development as a major motion picture from Fox 2000 Studios. A native of New York, Finn lived in England for 10 years before returning to New York City.
