Darien Library Offers Innovative Job Search Strategies Program

Long gone are the days of looking for a job by perusing the classified ads in the newspaper, mailing your resume, and waiting to be called for an interview.

Did you know that most people’s job search emails or cover letters actually backfire? Join us on Wednesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. to learn about Innovative Job Search Strategies at Darien Library.

Most people spend their time trying to leverage recruiters, job listings, industry events, and their existing networks, but that should only equate to 50% of one’s job search time! It’s not about whom you know; it’s about getting to know who you don’t know.

This program will be led by industry professionals, executive coach, and Greenwich resident, Kumar Singla.

About the Presenter:

Kumar Singla works in New York City as a bankruptcy and corporate restructuring professional. He also advises professionals of all industries and backgrounds on career transition strategies, effective job searching and optimal networking strategies. He challenges old, established ways of thinking and brings an innovative approach and fresh outlook to the search process.
