Music, Ethos, and Culture in the State of Israel at Darien Library

Music, Ethos, and Culture in the State of Israel at Darien Library on Tuesday, October 29th at 7 p.m.

From the Yemenite folk tunes and communal songs of yesteryear to the popular hits of the modern period, music in the State of Israel has long reflected the diversity of the people who live there. During this program, Dr. Gil Harel will discuss the way music has served as a reflection of national identity and religious ethos in the world's only Jewish State.

Darien Library is proud to cosponsor this event with the Jewish Historical Society of Fairfield County. Refreshments will be served.
