Darien Author Discusses New Novel via Zoom on July 29

Mary Simses grew up in Darien, Connecticut and began writing short stories as a child. Now the author of The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe and The Rules of Love and Grammar adds what the bookstore's owner Alice Hutchinson calls "the perfect summer read" to her string of delicious bestselling novels. On Wednesday, July 29th, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, Bethel's Byrd's Books will Zoom in on a discussion with the author of The Wedding Thief, Mary's new novel about two sisters in love with the same man -- one engaged to him and the other about to sabotage the wedding.

Called "funny, soulful, and as sweet as buttercream," The Wedding Thief may be just the literary tonic needed during these less than picture-perfect times. After all, it's a story of never getting along and facing the challenges of relationships, answering The Wedding Thief's core question: Will Sara realize what a bridesmaid-zilla she's become in time to fix the damage before Mariel's big day? To register, receive the Zoom link, and purchase your copy of The Wedding Thief, as well as Mary Sinses' other books, go to https://conta.cc/2Wk9RVk

Currently living in South Florida, Mary Simses spent most of her life in New England, where she worked in magazine publishing, and, later, as a corporate attorney writing short stories "on the side." Her first novel, The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Café was adapted as The Irresistible Blueberry Farm for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. The author enjoys photography, old jazz standards, and escaping to Connecticut in the summer.
