Why did you start your business?
I was not satisfied working in an office. I liked the excitement and the relationships I was able to build with our clients. I found joy in helping people's dreams come true.
The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s began more than 25 years ago as one of Stamford and Darien’s premiere Steakhouses. Since then, we’ve grown our business to include not just our restaurant but also an award-winning event space. We offer our guests a timeless experience in a genuine, warm atmosphere perfect for special occasions, corporate events, or even a family night out.
What is your bestselling product/service?
Our staff and service is by far our best-selling feature. They are the backbone of our event spaces and our restaurant.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
During the pandemic, we were quick to realize that we had to figure out outdoor space. We are fortunate that we have spectacular views of the water. We created a butcher meat to-go option for those that wanted to BBQ at home as well as family “boxes” to go whether for the holidays or just for dinner with the immediate family members. We are grateful to those that have stood by us in these unprecedented times. As we said from the beginning, we are all in this together.
