Discussion: The Future of Fairfield County, Darien

Darien Library, the League of Women Voters of Darien, and the Fairfield County Community Foundation present the second part of a series discussing the future of Darien.

The first session on April 5 focused on expert presentations on the area’s long-range economic outlook, environmental sustainability, and heard the perspective of a new generation of professionals. This virtual event will take place on Thursday, April 22 at 7 p.m. Register on Darien Library’s website at darienlibrary.org/event/4907.

In this follow up discussion, residents will have the opportunity to share their own expectations about what they envision for Darien in the next decade and speak about the key issues selected from the previous event, including: enabling a strong economy, attracting young people, protecting the environment, better transportation, and decreasing the wealth disparity. The program will be moderated by Stephen Saloom, Director of Advocacy and Capacity Building at the Fairfield County Community Foundation. The previous event can be watched at https://dar.to/2PvCoHv.
